This is a module for activeCollab to provide protection against brute-force login attacks/attempts. It has a limitation for normal logins and after that it starts showing captcha support to block automated logins and scripts. It prevents automated scripts to run and try to break into your system.

This module has two settings according to the need:
define('MAX_ATTEMPTS', 5);
define('DUMP_HOURS', 24);
First value is the maximum number of attempts that user can perform without captcha, please provide integer to increase or decrease.
Second Value is the number of hours after which you want to clear the attempts entries, e.g. as value is 24 hrs so when cron job will run it will remove all the entries entered 24 hrs ago or older.
Using this, you can define the number of maximum attempts allowed as normal login and a duration to dump the records i.e. after this duration, your normal login will restart for a particular ip address if no successful login was made in the duration. If user will make a successful login then there will be no longer captcha as long as another max attempts are violated for login.
This module has support for cron jobs too hence you can get the unnecessary entries cleated automatically from DB.

When will the module be ready for AC3?
Hi Steve,
We are waiting stable version of activeCollab 3.x to release. Once that is available, we shall release a stable version of the module. Meanwhile, we are planning to release a BETA version of the module for aC 3.x in approx. one week time. Thanks!
